Who’s behind Newmann Ink?

HeadshotI’m Brenda Newmann, eagle-eyed editor and wordsmith. My mission is to help you find the best words for communicating your message or telling your story.

I’ve been a professional editor and writer for more than 25 years and hold a Certificate in Editing from the American Copy Editors Society (ACES). My specialty is improving and fine-tuning writing while not changing the author’s voice.

Equipped with a bachelor’s degree from Stanford and a master’s degree from Johns Hopkins, both in international relations, I started my professional life as an Associated Press foreign correspondent. Studying, living, and reporting in Europe, I learned several languages and worked with bilingual and multilingual colleagues, which in turn helped me to polish my own communication skills.

After living in cities on both sides of the Atlantic, I now hang my hat in Boise, Idaho, and work virtually with clients anywhere. I’ve got a high-speed internet connection and I’m not afraid to use it!
